What happened
The NEU posted the final English agreement for its Government of Nunavut bargaining unit on July 30, 2026, and says translations are being prepared. This is not a newly approved labour deal: the GN and NEU announced they had signed it on March 12, 2026. The agreement runs from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2028. Its pay schedule provides a 9% increase effective September 30, 2024, followed by 3% on October 1, 2025, 3% on October 1, 2026, and 2.5% on October 1, 2027.
