NWMB issued a June 29 notice for its next meeting, scheduled for Oct. 21, 2026 in Pangnirtung. It requires briefing notes and supporting documents, including relevant photographs and maps, by Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. NWMB says applications requiring a Board decision under Article 5 will be handled as hearing items, while requests for Board advice under Article 15 and information submissions will be regular-meeting items.

The deadline gives co-management partners and others preparing a wildlife-management submission a fixed date to have an issue considered at the October meeting. Missing it means the submission will not be accepted for this meeting, according to NWMB.

NWMB says it will provide the exact Pangnirtung meeting location later. The Board’s notice does not list agenda items or forecast decisions for the Oct. 21 meeting.
