Residents who had been following the boil-water advisory because of the city-wide shutdown no longer need to do so under the City’s current notice. The lift is a practical update for drinking water, cooking, infant formula, ice and brushing teeth.

The City has not announced further steps connected to the advisory. It asks residents to report urgent water issues, such as a water-main leak or loss of pressure, to City Dispatch after hours.

This is a lift of a precautionary advisory, not a City explanation of the underlying water-system work or any test results. The Sept. 4 notice said the advisory would apply automatically when pressure dropped and that the City would announce when the Office of the Chief Public Health Officer informed it that the advisory was lifted.
