The Government of Nunavut posted an updated Sept. 19 notice for its 2026–27 Mentorship Program Pilot. It is seeking 25 mentors and 25 mentees for a program intended to test a revised mentorship model before an official relaunch planned for 2027–28. Eligible GN employees have a same-day deadline for a limited-enrolment career-development program. The pilot is one part of the Department of Human Resources’ 2026–27 plan for public-service training and Inuit employment development. Selected participants are expected to take part from October 2026 through May 2027, meeting with their mentor or mentee for at least two hours a month and attending required workshops and events. The pilot is open to indeterminate, term and casual GN employees. Term and casual employees must have confirmed employment through May 2027. Applicants need supervisor support and release time for required activities. They must submit a signed expression-of-interest form; prospective mentors must also provide an updated résumé or CV.
