This is a direct pay change for GN workers in the NEU bargaining unit across Nunavut. It is an implemented term of the existing agreement, not a new bargaining settlement or a new government funding announcement.

The GN and NEU signed the agreement on March 12, 2026, after NEU members ratified it. The agreement covers Oct. 1, 2024 through Sept. 30, 2028. It requires the employer to pay each subsequent negotiated salary increase no later than the month after it becomes effective. The public records checked do not independently confirm the date individual employees will see the new rate on a paycheque. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ
