Coast Guard says Cambridge Bay seasonal navigation buoys are back in service

A Canadian Coast Guard NAVWARN published Aug. 19 says seasonal recommissioning of navigational buoys in Cambridge Bay is complete. It cancels two earlier buoy notices, NW-A-0230-26 and NW-A-0338-25.

The update is practical for vessels using Cambridge Bay during the sealift and navigation season: the Coast Guard is advising that the seasonal buoy system at the four listed positions is now operating again. It does not announce a closure, new restriction or change affecting Iqaluit waters.

Mariners should continue to check current NAVWARNs and chart 7750 for any subsequent changes. The published NAVWARN is dated Aug. 19 to Aug. 20, while its substantive update is that recommissioning work has been completed.
