Nunavut’s Health and Education departments resumed the toothbrushing program in Arctic Bay on Sept. 1, 2026. The change restores a regular oral-health activity for Arctic Bay children. The government’s oral-health page says the relaunched programs include individually labelled toothbrushes and toothpaste, hygiene holders and support from local Community Oral Health Coordinators. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ↗

The Government of Nunavut has not published Arctic Bay participation numbers, the specific schools or child-care sites involved, or a local schedule. Families seeking details can contact the Qikiqtaaluk North Regional Community Oral Health Coordinator through the government’s oral-health service page. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ↗

This is a resumed service, not a new funding announcement. The government says Arctic Bay’s program restarted while programs were expanded to Gjoa Haven, Naujaat and Iqaluit. The public notice identifies the intended group as students from kindergarten to Grade 7 and does not provide a local enrolment process or program budget. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ↗
