QIA posted the call on Sept. 15. It lists one three-year seat each on the Nunavut Water Board and Kakivak Association, plus two three-year seats on Qikiqtaaluk Corporation; all Qikiqtani Inuit may apply for those roles. It also lists three four-year Sirmilik committee positions for Pond Inlet and Arctic Bay residents, one four-year Qausuittuq National Park–Territorial Park committee seat for Resolute Bay or Grise Fiord residents, one three-year Kinngaaluk Territorial Park committee seat for Inuit from Sanikiluaq, and two three-year Napaartulik Territorial Park committee seats for Inuit from Grise Fiord. These positions can give Qikiqtani Inuit a role in organizations and committees tied to regional development, land and park planning, and water decisions. Applicants must submit a completed application and current resumé. QIA says some positions may also require a vulnerable-sector check completed within the past six months.
