Permafrost survey to bring brief delays and noise in Iqaluit from Aug. 25 to Sept. 4

What happened
The City of Iqaluit issued a public-service announcement on Aug. 21 saying Tetra Tech Canada will conduct a permafrost ground survey between Aug. 25 and Sept. 4, 2026. The work will use geophysical equipment to examine frozen ground, soil and rock without digging. SourceCity of Iqaluit↗
Why it matters
