ᓇᐃᓈᕐᓗᒍ

Nunavut’s Quitline now directs people to text “NUQUITS” to 123456 as well as call 1-866-368-7848 for quitting support. The Government of Nunavut’s service page says confidential, no-cost support is available around the clock for people reducing or quitting smoking, chewing tobacco or vaping, as well as people seeking tobacco, cannabis or vaping information. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ

The Nunavut Quits website’s current Quitline page, updated June 24, 2026, lists text messaging—“NUQUITS” to 123456—alongside the established phone number. Its linked quit-program portal also offers free online enrolment and quit-plan tools for smoking, vaping or cannabis. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ

The update gives Nunavummiut a non-phone route to seek cessation support. The territorial service says it is confidential and free, and is also intended for family members, health and wellness workers and people who need information about tobacco, cannabis or vaping. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ
