The Government of Nunavut published a public-service announcement on Oct. 9 asking Nunavummiut about their access to dental care, children’s dental care and barriers in their communities. The department says survey responses will not be linked to personal information, and participants can enter a prize draw. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ

The consultation gives residents a short window to put practical problems accessing dental care on the record. The government says it will use the feedback to help shape oral-health programs and improve dental care, but it has not announced a specific policy change, funding commitment or service expansion.

Residents can complete the survey by Oct. 14, 2026. The public notice does not say when the department will publish results or announce any resulting program changes.

This is a territory-wide public-service announcement, not a new dental program or a decision to change services. The survey takes about eight minutes and is offered in Inuktitut, English, Inuinnaqtun and French. It asks about dentist visits, children’s access to care and barriers to receiving dental services.
