KIA posted the visit on Sept. 2. Its English and Inuktitut notices say all Kivalliq beneficiaries are welcome. The poster lists information and application assistance for financial support, scholarships and achievement awards; the Traditional Artisan Support Fund; the Nunavut Harvesters Support Program; the Business Development Fund; the CanNor-supported Entrepreneurship and Business Development program; the Kivalliq Community Cultural Initiatives Program; and Kivalliq Inuit Program Funding.

The visit provides an in-person route for beneficiaries to clarify eligibility and get assistance completing applications. The poster identifies potential support levels of up to $50,000 a year through the Business Development Fund, up to $5,000 through KCCIP and up to $10,000 through KIPF. It does not say that everyone attending will qualify or receive funding.

The open house is scheduled at the Wellness Building in Baker Lake on Monday, Sept. 14, Tuesday, Sept. 15 and Wednesday, Sept. 16. Hours are 10 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. KIA has not posted program-specific deadlines or an appointment requirement in the notice.

This is a scheduled information and application-support visit, not a new funding approval or program launch. KIA also advertises door prizes. The notice is available in English and Inuktitut.
