KIA’s current scholarships page says the usual application closing date has been extended to Sept. 25, 2026. The page lists President’s, Ukkusiksalik, Meliadine, Whale Tail, Canadian Heritage Rivers and Sakku-related scholarships, although KIA says the Sakku scholarship is administered separately by Sakku Investments Corporation.

The extension gives eligible Kivalliq Inuit post-secondary students five more days, as of Sept. 20, to submit an application. KIA says scholarship awards are made in October.

Applicants should check the eligibility rules and required documents for the specific scholarship before applying. KIA directs education-related applications to scholarships@kivalliqinuit.ca or a local community liaison officer. The page does not state a Sept. 25 submission time or time zone.

KIA says its annual scholarship allocation is $92,000. Its posted forms list requirements including Nunavut Agreement enrolment, full-time study and academic records; some scholarships have additional field-of-study or community requirements. The linked KIA forms are labelled 2019 and still show old July-to-August application periods, while the live 2026 webpage states the Sept. 25 extension. Do not report individual award amounts or all form details as confirmed current without clarification from KIA.
