The City of Iqaluit says Tetra Tech Canada Inc. and its subcontractors will carry out a geotechnical investigation program across Iqaluit from Sept. 14 to 22. Crews will use portable drilling equipment and an excavator to make boreholes and test pits. The City says all investigation areas will be backfilled after the work is done. ᓇᑭᓐᖔᖅᓯᒪᓂᖏᑦ↗

The work may bring temporary equipment activity and noise near roads and other public areas. The City asks people to stay at least 10 metres away from crews and equipment. This is scheduled survey work, not a new construction project or a completed climate-hazard map. The City identifies Tetra Tech Canada Inc. as the contractor carrying out the investigation.
