Frobisher Bay forecast calls for 2–3 metre seas and low visibility Wednesday

What happened
Environment Canada issued its Frobisher Bay marine forecast at 5 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, Aug. 19. It forecasts southeast winds of 20 knots, easing to light winds Thursday morning. Seas are forecast to build from one metre or less to two to three metres near noon, then subside Thursday morning.
Why it matters
The combination of rising seas, rain and fog is a practical safety consideration for small boats and other marine travel in Frobisher Bay. The forecast says visibility may be one mile or less in fog patches and as low as one mile in rain.
What happens next
