At its July 14–16 board meeting in Rankin Inlet, KIA approved Sapuulutaq Fund allocations for each of the seven Kivalliq communities. Rankin Inlet received the largest combined allocation, $3,844,737, followed by Arviat at $3,733,631 and Baker Lake at $3,100,847. The community-initiatives stream can support Inuit employability, cultural protection, wellness, community infrastructure and services, and environmental stewardship. The education stream supports community-based and transitional learning, including adult education, learning readiness and digital-learning access.
