The rules that govern every Atiilu News briefing.
Original evidence first
City records, government documents, Hansard, official notices and identifiable organizations are preferred. Media may generate a lead, but the underlying record should be found.
Status must be exact
Proposal is not approval. A staff recommendation is not a council decision. A tender is not an award. An allegation is not a finding.
Nothing manufactured
A story is drafted only when it is genuinely useful. If nothing important changed, Atiilu News will say so.
Human approval controls publication
AI may monitor, compare and draft. Gabriel approves the exact final version. Material changes automatically withdraw that approval.
Conflicts are disclosed
Atiilu-related interests, clients, properties, family, vendors and competitors receive explicit conflict review.
Corrections remain visible
Material public changes are explained, the original version is preserved and related stories are rechecked.
Sensitive coverage receives enhanced review
Police, court, election, misconduct, employment, child, family-services, death and similar stories require primary documentation where available, careful privacy and fairness review, and clear distinction between allegations and proven findings.
Language and accessibility
Atiilu News publishes an English editorial version and an automatically generated Canadian French translation tied to the exact approved English version. French translations are clearly identified, and sensitive translations are held for qualified review. If the versions differ, English controls. Inuktitut and Inuinnaqtun remain planned and will not be presented as authoritative without qualified review.
