Statistics Canada released its June 2026 payroll report on Aug. 27. Its seasonally adjusted territorial table places Nunavut's average weekly earnings, including overtime, at $1,883.29. The May figure was revised to $1,861.19 and the June 2025 figure was $1,774.94. Source↗

The release provides a current territorial payroll-income indicator for employers, workers and decision-makers. It does not establish that all workers received a 6.1% raise: Statistics Canada says changes in the average can also reflect the mix of jobs, hours worked and base-year effects. Nunavut's June average was the highest among provinces and territories in the published table. The report's Nunavut job-vacancy estimate was suppressed as too unreliable to publish, so this release does not provide a publishable territorial vacancy figure alongside the earnings result. Source↗
