The proposed course is aimed at Nunavut Inuit learners hired through Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada’s Iqaluit office as part of a six-month, full-time program connected to devolution-related employment. It would provide land-based training in ecological and environmental monitoring around Iqaluit, including vegetation, snow and ice measurements, wildlife and harvest monitoring, and oceanographic data collection.
