What happened

Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated appointed Navarana Beveridge as its new chief executive officer after what it describes as a competitive selection process. Her start date was Oct. 13, 2026, so the appointment is now in effect.

NTI says Beveridge has worked on Inuit housing governance, the Research Training Centre in Pond Inlet, and negotiations for the Mary River Project Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement. She previously held executive and senior management roles with the Qikiqtani Inuit Association. Source

Why it matters

The chief executive officer manages the day-to-day administration of NTI, a territory-wide Inuit organization whose work includes implementing the Nunavut Agreement and advancing Inuit priorities with governments and other organizations. The announcement identifies Beveridge’s experience but does not set out a new work plan, policy direction, budget decision or service change.
