Iqaluit boil-water advisory remains posted for 12 addresses after Sept. 17 shutdown
The City of Iqaluit shut off water at 12 listed civic addresses from about 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 17 for water-infrastructure work. The City says affected residences were automatically placed under a precautionary boil-water advisory when pressure dropped. The Sept. 17 notice applied to addresses 1087, 1088, 1091, 1120, 1121, 1122, 1123, 1124, 1125, 1127, 1133 and 1135. The scheduled shutdown has passed, but the advisory remains the latest posted status for those addresses; the City says it will issue another public-service announcement once the Office of the Chief Public Health Officer confirms it can be lifted.
