The call accepts proposals for fixed broadband projects in underserved areas and projects that improve telecommunications services in satellite-dependent communities. Inuit governments and other eligible Indigenous applicants may apply alone or with partners, subject to carrier, financial and infrastructure-experience requirements. The CRTC says Indigenous funding recipients can qualify for measures including up to two years of local technical training and, for capital projects, upfront funding of up to 15 per cent of approved funding, capped at $750,000.
