Co-op Gold frozen chicken products recalled over undeclared egg; Nunavut included in distribution
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says two Co-op Gold frozen chicken products were distributed in Nunavut and are being recalled because egg was not declared on the label. People with an egg allergy or sensitivity should not eat the affected products, while retailers should not sell, serve or distribute them.
What happened
The federal agency posted the notice Sept. 14, following a Sept. 10 recall by Federated Co-operatives Limited. It applies to 904-gram Co-op Gold Chicken Burgers, UPC 0 57316 21795 0, with best-before and lot codes 2027-JN-18/100808, 2027-JL-02/101118, or 2027-JL-22/101600.
