Plain language without losing meaning

Atiilu News uses concise headings, readable type, strong contrast and mobile-friendly layouts. Technical municipal, legal and government terms are explained when useful.

Language access

The public interface is available in English, Canadian French and Inuktitut syllabics. Reviewed Atiilu translations take priority. Missing interface wording may use Azure translation, saved for reuse. Automatic Inuktitut story translation is paused while the translator is being configured. Stories without an approved Inuktitut version remain in English. Approved English stories can also receive French translations. English remains the editorial source of record.
