In a Sept. 2 public-service announcement, the City scheduled a water interruption for Sept. 4, approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at addresses 400–588 and 1601–1692. The notice does not identify street names or specific facilities.

Residents in the listed address ranges may be without water during the work and must boil water used for drinking, preparing infant formula, making juices or ice, washing fruit and vegetables, cooking, and brushing teeth while the advisory is active.

The City says it will issue another public-service announcement after the Office of the Chief Public Health Officer advises that the precautionary boil-water advisory has been lifted. Residents should watch for that separate notice before returning to normal water use.

The City recommends bringing water for consumption to a rolling boil for at least one full minute. It says water may be boiled in a pot or kettle on a stove, or in an electric kettle without an automatic shut-off.
