ITK published its September 9 board resolutions on Sept. 17. The resolutions direct $65,264,492 to Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated from a federal housing-strategy top-up for 2026–27 through 2030–31. They also allocate NTI $25,576,050 for Inuit Guardians, $15,010,523 for Indigenous Partnerships for Nature and $1,487,970 for the Inuit-Canada Nature Table. The housing allocation is the largest Nunavut share in this package and gives NTI funding that it can use to determine how to support Inuit housing. The environmental allocations provide money for Inuit-led land, water, wildlife and conservation work. The published resolutions do not identify Nunavut communities, housing unit targets, project recipients, payment schedules or specific Guardians and conservation activities.

NTI would need to make further decisions about how the housing and environmental money will be used in Nunavut. ITK says it will work with Inuit Treaty Organizations to collect housing-construction and innovation information to demonstrate results and support future Inuit-specific housing funding. Residents should watch for NTI or regional Inuit-association announcements identifying projects, eligibility or community allocations.

The ITK board carried the four allocation resolutions unanimously. The federal funding periods listed in the resolutions run from 2026–27 to 2030–31. Across Inuit Nunangat, ITK allocated $130.27 million in housing funding, $51.05 million for Inuit Guardians, $33.32 million for Indigenous Partnerships for Nature and $4 million for the Inuit-Canada Nature Table—about $218.64 million in total.
