The Government of Nunavut posted a call for one industry representative to join the NNI Appeals Tribunal for a three-year, part-time term.

Applicants must represent a legally operating business in Nunavut. The government says it will give preference to people with training or experience in procurement law or practice, government contracting, or administrative law. Members must disclose conflicts of interest under Nunavut’s Conflict of Interest Act. Resumés must be sent to the government by Sept. 22. Source↗

The tribunal is the review body for unsuccessful bidders or proponents who allege that NNI rules were not properly applied in a covered Government of Nunavut procurement. Those rules can affect bid adjustments and Inuit employment, training and skills-development requirements.

The regulations say the five-member tribunal can recommend that a contracting authority amend or re-evaluate a procurement, cancel and reissue a solicitation, or reimburse bid-preparation costs. It does not review matters unrelated to NNI application or complaints about performance after a contract has been awarded. Source↗
